Alessandra Williams Founder and CEO of Perseus Promotions and The Caribbean Football Club

Alessandra has a passion for sports, equal opportunities and social justice. She understands the power of sports and its ability to change lives. She has made it her goal to promote talented football players by providing a platform from which their talent can be developed to a world class standard through coaching, training, mentoring and leadership programmes linked to The Caribbean Football Matches and by providing opportunities for talented individuals to play against and learn from some of the world’s best players – past and present.

Alessandra is also a Barrister of England and Wales and a member of the British Association of Sports Law. She has also project managed major events for the Law Society of England and Wales. Alessandra is a Football Agent, licenced with the FA.

Emmerson Orlando Boyce Director of Football Perseus Promotions and The Caribbean Football Club

Emmerson is a Professional Footballer with Wigan Athletic F.C. – Winners of the FA Cup 2013.

He is also the Captain of the Barbados National Football Team and has held that position since 2008. Emmerson played for Aylesbury United from 1990-1995, Luton Town FC from 1998-2004, Crystal Palace FC from 2004-2006.

He is current captain and Premiership record appearance holder for Wigan Athletic where he has been since 2006. He has made 77 league appearances and in 2006 he collected the player of the year award with Crystal Palace, to compliment his Luton trophies of “Players Player of the Year” award, “Supporters Player of the Year” award and the “Internet Player of the Year” award in 2004.

Emmerson also has is own football team: Bajan Elite, in Barbados. He is about to launch the Emmerson Boyce Foundation.

In addition Emmerson is currently Ambassador for two charitable organisations: Streetsoccer USA which tackles homelessness in the US and Joeseph’s Goal which raises awareness and funding to find a cure for NKH. He has also been chosen for the Show Racism the Red Card – Hall of Fame 2013 for his invaluable contribution as a professional role model and his involvement with their campaign.

Ramon Vega

Ramon Vega is an international footballer who played for Switzerland, Tottenham Hotspur and Celtic amongst others. During his professional career he made 315 appearances and was capped 23 times for his national team where he was also made captain. Ramon is fluent in 5 languages and plays every year in the Swiss Ice Snow Football Match in Arosa.

Michael Owen Johnson Football Manager and UEFA Coach for Perseus Promotions and West

Michael is a former Professional International and Premier League Footballer with over 550 appearances, including 262 games for Birmingham City and more than 100 each for Notts County (the club where he began his professional career), Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.

  • 2000-2001 Division One Play-off semi-finalist – Voted Player of the Year
  • 2000-2001 Worthington Cup Runners-up – Team Captain
  • 2001-2002 Division One Play-off winners promoted to the Premier League
  • 2005-2006 Championship Play-off winners promoted to the Premier League – Team Captain.

Although born in Nottingham, England, he is a full Jamaican international and played 12 times for the Jamaican National Team. He retired as a player at the end of the 2008/09 season and took up the post of youth team manager with Notts County.

The Honourable Trevor G Williams MP International Relations Co-ordinator for Perseus Promotions and West Indies Football

Trevor is a Member of Parliament for the Alliance for Change in Guyana. He has a passion for the youth and sports, particularly cricket and football. Trevor was the President of the Timerhi Panthers Football Club and is currently the Secretary of Northern Rangers FC, based in Georgetown, Guyana. Trevor served as Senior Vice President of the University of Guyana International Affairs Association, Head Delegate at the United Nations Americas Model and was Liaison Officer at the 19th Meeting of Foreign Ministers and Heads of State of the Rio Group held in Guyana in 2007. In 2012 he was a participant in the International Visitor Leadership Programme for the U.S Elections.

Trevor has participated in Youth Leadership Conferences in Barbados and Trinidad focusing on the promotion of South-South Cooperation and Sustainable Development. Trevor is also a Pastor at Dora Full Gospel Church.

Roland Orlando Butcher Football Manager for Perseus Promotions and West Indies Football

Roland is also the Director of Sports at the University of West Indies, an International Cricketer and was a UEFA Coach with Arsenal and Reading Football Clubs. He played test cricket for England and had a professional cricket career with Middlesex County Cricket Club spanning over 20 years where he scored over 12,000 runs, 17 centuries, winning 6 Championships and 6 One Day trophies.

Roland is the Chairman of the Sir Everton Weekes Centre of Excellence, a member of the Cricket Development Committee, Scholarships Committee, Clubs Assistance Committee, and member of the UWI Cricket Management Committee. He also served as a member of the National Sports Council Board, Manager and Coach of the Vice Chancellor’s team on different occasions, and the Barbados under fifteen Cricket Team. He has a passion for all sports.

Sasha Sunderland Project Manager for Perseus Promotions and West Indies Football

Sasha works within the sports tourism and international events industry in Barbados. In addition she is a research scholar and adjunct professor at the Centre for Study of Sport and Leisure at George Mason University in Virginia in the USA.

Sasha has a proven track record in sports administration and team management, locally, regionally and internationally and is a member of the Barbados Olympic Association Inc.’s (BOA) Woman and Sport Commission, the BFA’s National Senior Women’s Team Management and member of the Executive Council of the Barbados Football Association. She has worked with Arsenal FC to facilitate coaching courses in Barbados and was co-ordinator of the Inaugural Football Camp for youth aged between 5-18 years in 2011 and the BOA Inc.’s National Conference on Women in Sport in 2012. Sasha holds a certificate in Football Coaching and has a certificate with the Barbados Football Referees Association.

Spencer Williams Director of Entertainment and Promotion

Spencer Williams is an award winning Entrepreneur and has over forty years experience in the entertainment business. He is the owner and operator of the UK’s First Black Radio Station (WKN North London), Founding Member of the Nottingham Hill Carnival Committee, Founding Chairman of the Lambeth Traders Association and the Brixton Market Traders Association, Founding Member of Kiwanis UK – working in partnership with UNICEF, a Mentor, Youth Club Operator, Events Manager and more.

He is also a philanthropist and Member of the West Croydon London Road Carnival Planning Committee and the West Croydon Committee Forum.

Peter “Philip” Wood Investment Director of Perseus Promotions and West Indies Football

Philip has a track record of driving commercial success in sport. He provides financial expertise and business development services for sport-related projects including heading Olympic City Project Foundation in Brazil with the UKSI. He worked with Club Athletico do Parana and Botofogo Football Club, one of Brazil’s most famous and successful clubs. Philip was Chief Executive of Sheffield United Football Club from 1998 to 1999 where he spearheaded new club sponsorship packages and the youth development academy at the SUFC. He encouraged corporate / social responsibility by heading the SUFC programme against racism. Philip is also a media / PR spokesperson, regularly appearing on Sky Television and BBC Radio 5 Live.

Philip is also a member of several Royal Yacht Clubs and has won numerous sailing championships, including the ESU World Sailing Championships as Captain of the British team.
